The term Spirit Releasement can be uncomfortable for those who have no belief in a spirit or a soul. However, during client sessions, there are some who become aware of discomfort, often described as a block, which stops them from overcoming their problems. This may be experienced as pain or discomfort in an area of the body (usually reported as feeling familiar), or it may just be a ‘feeling’.

Further questioning will sometimes reveal an Earthbound Spirit – a lost and confused Soul that hasn’t passed over and has attached to the client in order to have a new body for itself.

Sometimes, the questions will reveal a more damaging entity whose sole purpose is to cause pain, discomfort and turmoil in the client’s life. These can be called Dark Force Entities, and are dealt with in quite a different way.

The desired outcome is to persuade the entity to return to the ‘Light’ – also variously known as Heaven, the Bardo, the Source, etc. With patience and persistence, this is almost always achieved, except occasionally when the client refuses to let them go!

For those with a more analytical mind, these ‘entities’ or ‘attachments’ can also be explained as sub-personalities or metaphors created by the subconscious mind as a way of releasing trauma or negative thought patterns. Whether the client believes or not, their willingness to participate in the releasement process nearly always results in positive results.

Jane (not her real name) was an Accountant by trade. She told me she has no idea what happens when we die, but, like many others, she hopes there is something more than just ‘dust to dust, ashes to ashes’. In our third session of hypnosis, she was experiencing what she described as a ‘block’ that was stopping her from being able to think or speak clearly.

Thinking this might be an Ego State (also can be called a sub-personality, in other words, a ‘part’ of the Self), I asked where she had the feeling in her body, and she said in her throat and chest. She began holding her throat, and coughing quite a lot. I asked her permission to speak with ‘that one’ and proceeded with a line of questioning designed to find out what I was communicating with.

The ‘one’ I was talking to recalled having a name and a physical body. Having established that she was female, I asked her to go to the last time she was in that body. As always, I asked open-ended questions, careful to never lead my client. The woman who was talking to me (through Jane) described being trapped in a burning hut, at night, somewhere in the south of England. She told me her name was Lioba, she was 17 years old and the year was around 485 AD. Her village had been ransacked by soldiers and the wooden buildings set on fire, and she was terrified.

Lioba experienced the manner of her death (uncomfortable but not unbearable for Jane) and floating up above her body. In her state of fear, she didn’t see the Light. Trapped on the earth plane, totally confused, she spent a long time just wandering around. Eventually, she saw a little girl with beautiful blond hair, playing in her garden, feeling rather lonely. Lioba was also blonde and she decided to attach herself to this child, thereby creating two souls in one body. Plus two sets of thoughts and feelings!

Once we had talked, and Lioba understood the problems she had caused to Jane (anxiety and fear, particularly at night), she was more than happy to cross over to the Light, where she experienced her mother waiting for her. She agreed to take all her own problems with her, both mental and physical.

Jane experienced a strong feeling of ‘something’ withdrawing from her, and a slight feeling of emptiness in her throat and chest area (which we filled with powerful white light). We were able to complete the remaining sessions very easily, and some months down the line, she told me that her childhood asthma had completely disappeared, and she was much more confident and relaxed, even at night!
